Landscape design shapes the outdoor spaces of a project — gardens, public realm, hardscape, and planting — and its influence on how a building is experienced is often underestimated relative to the architecture itself. Good landscape design addresses functional considerations (drainage, accessibility, outdoor circulation, climate-appropriate planting) alongside the experiential and aesthetic qualities of outdoor space, and increasingly, genuine environmental performance — stormwater management, biodiversity, and passive cooling through vegetation and shading.
Given the Kashmir valley's distinct seasonal climate and topography, we place particular emphasis on climate-appropriate landscape design — planting strategies and outdoor space planning that genuinely respond to local seasonal conditions rather than defaulting to generic landscape templates, and hardscape and grading design that properly accounts for the region's terrain and drainage characteristics.
