Landscape Master Planning
The green and open space strategy that shapes a development's spatial structure from the outset — not layered on at the end.
What’s included
- Green and open space hierarchy and network design.
- Public, semi-public, and private realm framework.
- Phased landscape delivery strategy.
- Green cover and open space compliance with local master plan and bye-laws.
- Rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge integration.
- Long-term landscape maturation and management strategy.
For larger developments, landscape master planning establishes the overall green and open space strategy across an entire site or precinct — the hierarchy of public, semi-public, and private outdoor spaces, the green infrastructure network, and the long-term vision for how a development's landscape will mature and function as it's built out, often in phases, over a period of years.
This work is developed closely alongside architectural and urban master planning, ensuring that landscape strategy isn't an afterthought layered onto a completed urban plan but a genuine co-driver of a development's overall spatial structure. We plan landscape master strategy with particular attention to green cover and open space requirements set out in local development authority master plans and building bye-laws — many of which mandate minimum green area percentages and rainwater harvesting provisions — ensuring compliance is built into the strategy from the outset rather than retrofitted at approval stage.
