Landscape Construction Supervision

On-site oversight to ensure the built landscape actually matches what was designed — through groundworks, planting, and handover.

What’s included

  • Groundworks and grading inspection against design tolerances.
  • Soil preparation and drainage layer verification under planted areas.
  • Hardscape installation quality oversight and defect recording.
  • Planting installation inspection and species verification.
  • Irrigation system installation and commissioning oversight.
  • Landscape establishment monitoring and handover sign-off.

A landscape design, however well conceived, is only as good as its execution on site — grading tolerances, planting installation quality, hardscape detailing, and irrigation system installation all require close, technically informed supervision to ensure the built landscape actually matches design intent. Landscape construction supervision covers this on-site oversight role, from initial groundworks through to planting establishment and final landscape handover.

We supervise landscape construction with particular attention to the details that are easy to get wrong and expensive to correct after the fact — soil preparation and drainage layers beneath planted areas, correct grading to ensure surface water moves as designed rather than pooling or eroding, and appropriate planting technique and aftercare to give new planting a genuine chance of establishing successfully, rather than treating landscape installation as a lower-priority phase of construction relative to the building itself.
