Lighting and Controls
Lighting that performs as designed, with control systems that actually deliver what the specification promised.
What’s included
- Lighting fixture installation across all building areas.
- Lighting control panel and scene control system installation.
- Occupancy sensing and daylight harvesting system installation.
- Building management system (BMS) integration for lighting.
- ECBC lighting power density compliance verification.
- Commissioning and scene programming to design intent.
Lighting shapes both the functional usability and the experiential quality of a building, and modern lighting design increasingly integrates sophisticated control systems — occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting, scene control, and building management system integration — that significantly affect a building's energy performance alongside its visual quality. This service covers both the installation of lighting fixtures and infrastructure, and the control systems that govern how that lighting actually operates.
We install lighting and control systems in accordance with relevant National Building Code provisions and, where energy performance is a specific project requirement, the Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC), which sets lighting power density and control requirements. Lighting and controls installation is coordinated closely with our Building Services Engineering design work, ensuring the installed system genuinely delivers the lighting performance and control functionality the design intended, not just a technically compliant but underperforming installation.
