Electrical Design
Getting load calculations, distribution architecture, and protection coordination right before a wire is pulled.
What’s included
- Electrical load calculation and demand analysis.
- Distribution board layout and single-line diagram preparation.
- Cable sizing and containment design to IS 732.
- Protective device selection and discrimination coordination.
- Earthing system design to IS 3043.
- Coordination with Building Services Engineering and architectural design.
Before any installation work begins, a building's electrical infrastructure has to be properly designed — load calculations, distribution architecture, cable sizing, protective device coordination, and system layout all worked out on paper and tested against the building's actual requirements. Electrical design is this upstream engineering discipline: translating a building's functional and occupancy requirements into a complete, coordinated electrical system design that installation teams can build from with confidence.
We prepare electrical design in accordance with the National Electrical Code of India, relevant IS codes, and National Building Code provisions on electrical installations — sizing systems with genuine load analysis rather than generic rules of thumb, and coordinating protective device selection to ensure proper discrimination across the distribution network, so that a fault trips only the circuit it needs to, not the whole building. This work is developed in close coordination with our Building Services Engineering capability and feeds directly into installation, distribution, and lighting work on site.
