Master Scheduling / Schedule Analysis

An integrated program-wide schedule — actively maintained, critically analysed, and used to drive decisions rather than record them.

What’s included

  • Integrated program-wide master schedule development.
  • Critical path identification and monitoring.
  • Schedule interdependency and logic review.
  • Delay impact and knock-on consequence analysis.
  • Schedule risk assessment and float analysis.
  • Regular schedule update, reporting, and recovery planning.

A program's schedule is one of its most important management tools, and also one of the easiest to lose control of once multiple workstreams, contractors, and dependencies are in motion. Master scheduling involves developing and maintaining an integrated, program-wide schedule that ties together every project, phase, and workstream into a single, coherent timeline — capturing genuine interdependencies rather than a collection of disconnected individual schedules.

Schedule analysis is the discipline of interrogating that schedule critically and continuously: identifying critical path activities, assessing the knock-on impact of delays or changes, and stress-testing schedule assumptions before they cause real disruption. We maintain master schedules as living, actively managed tools — updated regularly, analysed for emerging risk, and used to drive proactive decision-making rather than serving as a static document produced once and referred back to only when something has already gone wrong.
