Remediation, Restoration and Redevelopment
Bringing degraded land back into safe, productive use — from investigation through to verified sign-off.
What’s included
- Phase 1 and Phase 2 site investigation and contamination characterisation.
- Risk assessment and remediation objectives setting.
- Remediation strategy design (in-situ, ex-situ, or monitored natural attenuation).
- Remediation implementation oversight and verification.
- Regulatory documentation and sign-off support.
- Post-remediation land condition certification for transactions.
Land that has been contaminated by prior industrial, commercial, or other use presents both a liability and, often, a genuine opportunity — the opportunity to bring degraded land back into productive, safe use rather than extending development onto untouched land. Remediation, restoration, and redevelopment covers the full technical process: investigating and characterising contamination, designing and implementing remediation strategies appropriate to the specific contaminants and site conditions, and restoring land to a condition suitable for its intended future use.
This work is technically demanding and highly site-specific — the right remediation approach depends entirely on what contaminants are present, in what concentrations, in what soil or groundwater conditions, and what the site's future use will be. We approach it methodically, from initial site investigation and risk assessment through to remediation design, implementation, and verification that objectives have genuinely been achieved, all documented to the standard required for regulatory sign-off and future land transactions.
