Beyond managing a project's immediate environmental footprint, there's a growing and increasingly urgent need to design developments that can withstand the physical impacts of a changing climate — more intense rainfall events, temperature extremes, and, in a region like Kashmir, potential shifts in snowfall patterns and seasonal water availability. This service covers climate risk assessment and adaptation planning, alongside broader sustainability strategy that addresses a development's resilience and long-term environmental performance.
We assess climate-related physical risks relevant to a project's specific location and design adaptation measures accordingly — resilient drainage and stormwater management, structural and material choices suited to shifting climate conditions, and passive design strategies that reduce a building's vulnerability to climate extremes. This work connects closely with our Sustainability Consulting service under Planning & Consultancy, but with a sharper focus on physical climate resilience specifically.
